Jellyfish Infographic
Create a series of illustrations and layout elements to develop an infographic. Create a series of sketches to work out the basic composition for the layout of the infographic. Try to use type pairing effectively in your design including the title, headlines, subheads and captions. Place special emphasis on layout support elements such as detail bubbles, arrowheads, graphs and timelines.
Since we could choose our own topic, I wanted something that could be illustrated in a dynamic pose across the entire infographic. I subsequently chose a jellyfish since the tentacles provide visual flow. I used text boxes to highlight different facts about jellyfish as well as point out different parts of their anatomy. The text is derived from several scientific websites about jellyfish with all the graphics being original.
