Amazon Postcard

 

Students are to choose a brand and then follow their official brand guidelines to create a custom promotional mailer. Besides following the brand guidelines students must also ensure the final project meets the USPS requirements for acceptable mail.

 

I chose the Amazon company as the focus of my branding projects for this class, as such for this postcard I chose to focus on the ongoing student promotion for Amazon Prime. College students can get Amazon Prime at a lower cost as well as gaining extra benefits like a Grubhub subscription. Since postcard mailers are double sided, I wanted to show the same scene at the start and end of a college semester.

The front of the mailer depicts a clean desk with books, a to do list on the wall, and a blank area required by the USPS for the mailing address information. The back of the mailer depicts that same room at the end of the semester so it has several added pieces to show how chaotic college life can get. It features posters of the extra offers that come with the subscription, a full to do list, a full trashcan, as well as empty cans on the desk.
