Stardew Valley Poster

Students have to create an all-type poster in Adobe Illustrator. Students can choose any topic they want for their posters.

I wanted to choose a concept that would provide me with many related words to use in the poster without having to constantly repeat each word. Due to this I decided to make my poster based on the videogame “Stardew Valley”. In this game the player can grow a wide range of produce on their farm which I could then use as the text portion of the poster.

First, I made an illustration of a turnip, melon, pumpkin, tomato, and piece of corn sitting in a wooden box. Then, I recreated the title text saying “Stardew Valley” as it appears in the game. Finally, I layered the text on top some of the produce as well as the sky in the background to act as shading and texture on the poster.
